During Rogers’ career, it was not uncommon for a visitor to another’s home or office to present an engraved "calling card" to the butler or other greeter announcing the visitor’s arrival. There were thousands of different pictures available for the front of the cards, including a number that portrayed Rogers statues. The card usually had a rendition of a particular Rogers Group, surrounded by flowers. Upon lifting the floral cover, which was hinged to a larger back card, the name of the visitor would be inscribed on the face of the card itself.
Shown below are a number of calling cards, although this array is not intended to be a complete set.
