Patents Issued for John Rogers Statues

With the exception of his first five groups sculpted prior to 1862 and his last seven groups executed after 1888, Rogers patented all of his published works. Shown below are a sampling of what was usually a two-page patent application. The first page pictured the group being patented, and the second page gave a narrative description.
